Dusting off my account here. This is what I've been working on today.

Obviously a heavy WIP. Not really sure where to go from here.
Edit: Posted outdated image link. Fixed.

Interesting style of pixling.
Although I've seen this style several times I just love seeing it again :D
Now back to the image itself:
It looks amazing!
But the clouds don't really look like clouds too me (maybe I'm wrong).
-
Very beautiful! I love the colors you chose for everything.
Reminds me of the old Kings Quest games - love it.
I think the vines wrapped around the tree looks a little flat, and not round.
The reflection of the mountain and trees in the distance needs a little work.
Comparing the trees closest to us, the trees on the right are amazingly well drawn, where as the left is kinda scribbled.

Tried to fix the tree on the left. Vines are flat as of now because they have yet to really be pixelled :p

Nice image so far, will be nice to see where you take it :y:
Is the secondary light source supposed to be magical/ unworldly? right now it's too saturated and light in value to be from the pool of water the roots are hanging in.
-
Yeah, the secondary lightsource is going to be coming from some magical glowy things. The lightsource is kinda inconsistent is intensity and placement right now, as I am working out exactly where glowing things would work in the composition.
Edit:
Progress
Lessened the intensity of the glowy light.

Edit2:
A bit more work.

Much better on the left tree, was gonna say there shouldn't be a highlight on the right edge. I like how the darkness creates a feeling of space in the composition.
I'd darken the sky color, make it bolder and bluer maybe. It's so bright outside in the real world, that it's surprising how deep the sky blue can be.
Hollows aren't so frequent, it'd be a rare occurrence to have two trees with hollow next to each other. Feels contrived, but maybe that's just me.
I think it would make a better frame if on the left tree you raised the branch to show more of the center, and filled in the top left sky with leaves.
Just some ideas.
-
Yeah, darkening the sky and removing the other hollow definitely make it look better.
Not quite sure about the leaves in the top corner yet. We will see if they look better after a bit of polishing.
