I spent around 10 minutes drawing this fawn and to be honest I'm a little impressed. But there is just something wrong about it, I don't know what it exactly is but i just know there's something wrong about it. Can someone please give me some constructive criticism and maybe an improved version? Looking forward to your input

I can't figure out where the light source is (because of the legs) , or are there multiple?
Also I think you should use some anti-aliasing( except thats the style you are looking for)
And I think the front legs are to plane (but i have no clue how to improve them)
exept that I think for a 10 min drawing it looks nice
But I am new to pixel art so everything I said here may be wrong ^^

there are issues with the proportions and gesture. Hopefully this image will speak for itself. but if you want more explanation feel free to ask

Check your light sources
Personally, I think in black an white first, to understand the voumes

UPDATE:

I worked on the legs making them more similar to those in the reference and also removed a few pixels from the face to match the rest of its body. I also completely messed up with the front legs reversing their positions giving it an odd look but i fixed that. The only problem im really having is colours and lighting. Im completely lost since there isnt much on the reference. What next?

biggest problem is that the rear legs farther away brighter then the close ones which leads to visual confusion.

First off, 10 minutes isn't going to cut it. Especially with anatomy. You have to spend some time til the form looks right. Even then go back and look at it later and tweak some more.
And the white spots are not just single pixel dots. That always looks bad.
What I found was the proportions were all off to each other. Not by much, but with anatomy, it shows a lot. Legs were too short, neck too thin, head to big, joints in wrong place, etc, etc.
Colors a bit too saturated (That's just personal preference).
