Title: [C+C] First ever pixel art

This is my first ever pixel art try. I just wanted to try something, so I made this rocket. It's not good at all, I'm just wanting to get some basic feedback.

Edit 1: I tried shading without tutorial, and I would like to know if it is good or not.
Edit 2: Picture made smaller
Edit 3: Is this better with the shading? I'm not totally happy about the colors, but I'm first trying to get the shade right. I tried to remove the pillowshading.

Your image is blown up to 5x. Can you post it at 1x?

Design is decent. Shading lacks contrast, and uses way too many colors. I suggest you stick to two colors per surface until you're sure the basic shading is right. You're pillow-shading; I suggest reading Cure's pixel art tutorial on Pixel Joint (http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11299&PID=139322#139322) to understand why that is a problem.
