Title: Children of Morta
Post by: childrenofmorta on October 06, 2014, 10:59:10 am
Children of Morta is an upcoming challenging roguelike action game which will involve you in the adventures of a family who guard a sacred mountain.
It has retro pixel art graphics.

I love this "loose pixel" style. Character animations have plenty of character. Is there any demo we can play? :)

Really impressed by the animation.
Not at all convinced that it is a roguelike (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roguelike#The_Berlin_Interpretation) (especially, it seems to not be turn-based). But of course you know more about what it is like than me -- if you check it against the Berlin interpretation and it hits most of the points, I'd encourage you to post about it in /r/roguelikes. If it only hits some of the points, I'd still recommend posting in /r/roguelikes, but noting that it's a roguelite in order to not annoy and mislead people.

Indifferent to the smoothness of the lighting -- I don't feel it meshes that well with the game's art style. Texturizing it might make it look much better.

I've subscribed. :) But you didn't answer my question. Is there any demo we can try?
