Title: Runic medallions, and one hell of a hiatus

I believe it's 64*64, and 7 colors including transparency. Took me 2-3 hours thanks to GIMP. Are there any Linux users that know of a good pixel art app? GIMP doesn't really do it for me.. at all.

I was thinking about Pixelation today and decided to get back to pixeling since I had a graphic program at my disposal. A lot's happened in the months I've been gone: a computer death, a job, a few epiphanies. All that "growing" business. :P I didn't want to create a content-less post for my return, so there ya go. C+C, please. Kudos if you know what TV show this is based upon.

It feels good to be back. I can't wait to get back into the groove of pixeling.

As for Linux pixel art apps, sorry I can't be of any help. Really sorry. Because I hate GIMP for pixelling too. Ugh. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this thread for suggestions.

I learned to love the GIMP for pixel art, once I got it all configured.  I have yet to find a better option but would be open to making a good cross-platform pixel art app if I could find the guys to help.
