Hello everyone,
This is my first time working on pixel art ever. I am an illustrator and have experience drawing, but have never dabbled in pixel art prior to this first attempt.
This is just a basic character composition which I will need to finalize and animate for a little summer game project I am working on. He will need to face the 4 cardinal directions, and 4 diagonals, and have walking animations for each direction. I figured feedback from the very start would be better than getting halfway through and asking for feedback. I am currently unhappy with his pose, and will be changing it and updating after I receive other comments.

Feedback is greatly welcomed and appreciated, thank you. :)

My main critique is: never work on a white background, it screws up your sense of color. Always try to start with a more neutral background. I personally prefer a halfway grey with a touch of color.
