edit: ok, now there is

you might want to state your references (or base in this case) next time, though i'd rather there was no next time, there isn't much to learn from edits like this mister

(no, this is not what i believe to be the very base-sprite, but he's giving you oh so sarcastic thumbs up !)

Whereas this might not be a rip, it is a good idea to state references, especially when they're closely matched before someone pulls a detective.

you can't learn proper anatomy from a super deformed, stylized comic book character. do it the old fashion way and look at real life.

( disregard this if you just wanted to learn the style)

It is not a pixelRip, but very closely copied.  If you are practicing anatomy, directly copying an image will do you no good.  Stop pixelling and start studying anatomical literature.  To exaggerate a structure well you still must know what the original should look like.

Why not try and create your own character and try and study real human body structure and postioning.  You will gain a lot more as an artist this way.  Your version of this is ok... but it just seems too much like the original to be called 'your own work'.

well leif i think directly copying a image can be good.. just not copying capcom superhero stuff xD, it's like the worst thing you can do for yourself when your just learning

you can copy all you want, but unless you understand why the original was drawn that way all you will do is get good at copying other peoples work. at the very least meditate carefully on each part as you copy it.

well yes i understand that, i'm just saying that you need both copying the picture and study'ing why it's like that :)

This is probably the reference.

Oh wow, different iteration of the same series? The one mia posted was different in places, but this is dead-on. Not reference, ripped.

iEmo, somebody had to play detective for you after all, huh? Here we go, more of the same for you, then.

You are officially warned to not post any rips or edits without crediting source in Pixelopolis. This is your first warning. Three strikes and you're out. Do not abuse the forum.

Ok, let me get this straight. You ripped and then you lied about it.
Just moving stuff around and recolouring a bit is still plain ripping.
