Those trees don't really seem to be that spherical and they seem to not be shaded very well.  ???
Also there seems to be an inconsistant light source.

My #1 concern with those tree is the way branches look like a stand for the canopy. they will sub-divide hidden from our eyes, so imho, they should not go beyond the central third of the canopy's size.

As for spherical and shading, trees often give the viewer a flat look because they have irregular shape, so I wouldn't mind they'd look non-spherical here. At best, you'd have clusters of leaves that are in the shadow. I'm more concerned with the inconsistent light source amongst the character and level elements.

I feel as if her head should be bobbing exactly the opposite way, away from the "front" shoulder

Yes for a walk, where the head is higher in the "passing" frame, but for a run (http://sarahsanimation.blogspot.be/2013/01/animation-reference.html), it make sense that your body is higher when your in-air and that your knee bend more during, making the torso and head lower. Plus, the neck and spine will have to dampen the "landing" too, reinforcing the effect.

Looks right to me, but a real animator will get up and skip around like a little girl to see what feels right.
