Okay, so I am making some assets for a game engine and the first one I have to make is, a rat sprite sheet! I am newbie at animals, and suck at anatomies and postures and hence I need help.
Here's what I have made:

You made the common mistake of making the side view a different perspective then the other directions. The north and south facing directions are viewed from above slightly, while the east direction is head on from the side.

yes he's right
even if we see his other ear it's not the same perspective
btw the one used for the side is much easier
and your rat from back view has too long ears for me, it looks like a fox (cant help more though)

I tried to get east view into rpg perspective and I've succeeded with the face but can't get body into the same perspective D:

Side view: back is too arched, body isn't long enough. Ears are too long, eyes aren't black and beady. Tail is too short and too fat.
Facing us: ears shouldn't be pointy, leg placement looks like he's stretching ( front legs should be less visible).
Contrast on body could be increased a bit. Be sure to use photos of real rats as photos, knowing rat owners there should be no shortage of good references online.

Used some references and this time drew side view first so that can get rest of the sides in the same proportions

the front view has strange back legs (cant explain myself :p)
