Title: [Paid] Tiles and Sprites for Zelda-style game
Post by: MTerVel on May 26, 2012, 01:44:38 am
Hi all,

I've been working on a fun and interesting project. Think of it as my take on a Zelda 3 (LTTP) type of game. The engine is practically done. I won't get into specifics, however I need someone with that certain creative spark to fleshen out a facade for my ideas.

Here's what I need (loosely defined:)

1. Tileset
32x32 tiles for various terrain: Grass, Water, Sand, Snow, Trees, Hills/Mountains, etc.
32x32 tiles for various structures: Houses, Churches, etc.
32x32 tiles for various objects: Furniture, Lamps, Signs, Tables, Chairs, Benches, Treasure Chests, Flooring/Walkways, etc.

The tiles should be arranged in a logical manner, and I'll need a list of all the tiles upon which the player shouldn't be able to move, which tiles belong to which object, etc. This will be the hard part. I figure the tileset should consist of somewhere around 1000 - 2000 tiles.

2. Character Images

I have templates for the character images that will be used to render the character. The main idea is that the character's appearance should be easily customizable. These should be fairly simple to do. Each character consists of 4 parts, thus I'll need around 40 images in all.

I've loosely defined these requirements, simply because I don't believe in limiting creativity. Be as creative as you like. :) What I'm looking for is not the whole farm, but enough to get my game out there.

Please submit some related samples of your work, some feedback on your approach to the tileset (e.g. how many tiles will be needed, etc.), an estimate of how much time you'll need to complete the tileset (based on your approach), and a rough bid; and we'll go from there. Keep in mind, everything comes directly from my pocket. There aren't any fancy Wall St. investors throwing millions into my project (unfortunately.) :)

Once this is done, there will certainly be opportunities for more work.

Please note: I only pay via PayPal, and only upon final receipt (and subsequent approval) of deliverables. Also, you will be working under contract on a fixed price basis. I am available by Skype and AIM, however as a first point of contact, a PM here in the forum will be sufficient. If you don't hear back from me right away, bear in mind I do work a full time job, and that this project is more or less in whatever spare time I might happen to have. But, I will try to answer any questions/bids within 24 hours.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and happy bidding!
