Title: Lasso in Graphics Gale... Bug?
Post by: pgil on February 01, 2012, 03:22:36 am
This is something that's been happening when I use Graphics Gale, and it's really annoying.  When I copy and paste something I've selected with the lasso tool, the area outside the selection, instead of staying transparent, turns into a solid color...  It seems to happen regardless of the color depth I use, the transparent color I've selected, or the layer I'm working on. It makes the lasso completely useless, and the same thing happens when I use the circular selection, or shift-click for multiple rectangles...

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

You might have to set the images background colour (in File -> Properties) to the same as the layer transparent colour. This is annoying, I don't really see any need for the image background colour at all.

That might be what the problem is.

I gave the frame, image, and the bottom layer of each frame the same transparent color... Now it works.

Yeah, that makes sense.  >:(

So I emailed the developers, and they said it is a bug, and it's being fixed  :)

Cool! Good initiative, then!
