Hello guys (and girls), i'm helping at making a old-school platform game and i would have some feedback on the main character sprite :

Thanks.
PS : I suck at making shiny materials.

Cute :D it reminds me of Scott Pilgrim : )
Shiny materials are ok! They're super shiny, lol!

Awesome char!
I might be a bit out of my water, but I attempted an edit never the less

Changes:
- The legs bugged me as having an unnatural rotation, so i changed round the knees and messed with the feet a bit. It might have gotten a bit busy.
- Shifted the specular on the breastplate a bit and added some more shadow under the head.
- Extended the cape a bit.
So yeah, this sprite is actually way better than my stuff, so disregard my edit if it's just wrong. Still, you have to try to learn =)

Heh, I love it. Looks modern and retro at the same time. =D
Fick's edit is a small improvement, I think, mostly with the cape lengthening. I didn't really notice the original was wearing a cape, honestly, though I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem once it was animated.

Thanks Fickludd, it's a great edit, i didn't know how to fix the legs ^^
I'm moving forward to animate it now.
EDIT : I've made another one with shoulderpads, which one do you prefer ?

Shoulder pads, for sure. Armor looks a little weird without it. And do you have any more art anywhere? Your DA is empty. =(
Edit: Then again, the shoulder pads kind of draw the question "why aren't his upper arms and legs armored?"
He looks cool, regardless.
