Title: My first time "teaching" pixelart
Post by: ui on August 22, 2011, 12:58:12 am
Hi, some of you maybe know me already some of you don't.

My name is Daniel, i'm from Venezuela. I have been involed with pixelart since 2001 or so. This is my website: www.iloveui.com
I'm writing this post, because i need some help here.

Wonderfully i have the oportunity to "teach" pixelart to other ppl in a public library in my country in about 3 weeks. I don't considere myself as good to teach, but it's an opportunity that not much people have so i can't refuse this amazing oportinity to try to get more people invole in pixelart here in my country and also learn about more about pixelart at the same time. By the way, i already have a short list of the things i plan to teach and show. But i will appreciate if i can have some help here. This text, tutos, etc will also help in future for other SPANISH-SPEAKING peoples. (of course this is not definitive, but PLEASE, feel free to critict and add constructive comments about)

THE TEXT - CLICK HERE (http://iloveui.com/up/course.txt)

This text is translated by google. I really don't have the time to translate to english now. So probably there are some error in the translations, but the basic idea is there.
Any kind of help is welcome! :D

Really thx for reading.
Daniel

Selout is supereasy to teach:
"The best selout practice is to never ever use the word 'selout' again"

Seriously tho, I find most of that text file very hard to understand, even cryptic at times. It seems to be below your usual level of English. :(

@blumunkee, is a capital sin even mention selout?. What if i have a "genious" student who ask me about???, jajaja....

Hey guys, i update the TEXT file, i think now is more undestandable for you guys...

Please tell me what's wrong and what's ok. And what you think about the exercises and time.
I include the hours of each exercise. Remember that maybe i will teach people who has 0 knowledge in draw/art.

I also will show many of the tutos/examples from this forum and also many reference from artist. If you considere that i have to include any, just tell me.

Any help will be appreciate.

I will repeat this "experience" in few days. But this time will be a short amount of time.

What you guys recomend me to teach them?, i was thinking...

- Undestanding Pixelart with examples
- Handraw / Digitalization / Line-art
- Use of colors
- Save your art for web/printing

Will be about 3 days of 3 hours per day. So is not much time to teach them a lot. Let me know what you guys think about this
