Title: [WIP] Medieval Hack'n'Slash sprites + lineart
Post by: c0n on August 02, 2011, 06:19:57 pm
'Lo guys  :y:

I'm working on the graphics for a side-scrolling medieval hack 'n' slash type game. I've made some weapon lineart, but I need some C&C on the shape and proportions.
This is one of my first serious projects with pixelart.

The colored thing is supposed to be the head of a flail.

[UPDATE]

I think I'll need help with AA on the swords, I'm not sure how to approach it considering these sprites are for a game.
Also when I stacked the head 7 times it made me realize some things might be more out of proportions than I initally thought.

(Yes the face is a joke)

Colored a longbow aswell.

I realize that to efficiently animate this game I have to scale it down to about half, but I still intend on coloring/finishing these.

good lines but i would add some more contrast to the colored ones.

Thanks for the advice, here's a picture of just the colors.
I have not changed anything yet, but I'll look into the contrast issue. Maybe turn the grays towards a color (saturate them a bit) to make it look more pixel-y.
