Hi Pixelation,

I was recommended to post here on my quest to find talented pixel artists!

Company Information

My name is Tom Gullen and I am from Scirra (http://www.scirra.com (http://www.scirra.com))

Our software is an HTML5 game maker program, people download it and make games which they can then sell or give away for free etc.

Work Description

At the moment the software is a little bare, and we would love to include some 'Sprite Collections/Themes'.  For example we would love to have a 'Space Theme' sprite collection, space ships, rocks of various sizes, aliens, all sprites that are useful in games with animations included where applicable.  Other themes might be 'At Sea' (pirate boats, pirates, water, cannons firing etc).  Anything that will appeal to as wide an audience as possible!

We are open to different styles as long as each collection/theme is consistent.

One caveat, all work we pay for due to the nature of our software would need to be Royalty Free license.  Remember, people will be making games with these sprites and we want them to be able to do whatever they want with their games!

It's a creative project, we are fully open to your suggestions!

Applying

For applicants I would want to see:
 - Examples of similar work
 - Ideas of themes you have

Rates

As per forum rules we have to post our rates, it's going to vary a lot depending on size of the themes, how many animations/distinct sprites etc.  Our budget is going to be around $100 - $300 per collection.

Payment

I can pay via Paypal (and will pay and fees incurred in sending money), or if you are in the UK I can do a bank transfer.

HTML5++! ;) Too bad it doesn't run on multiple platforms (your development software). I guess that's ok though when the end result reaches us Mac/Linux users. :)
