Title: am I on the right path?

hey there, working on a game with my friend.

any thoughts? it's still extremely early work.

Problems: we're developing this for phones so it needs to remain low-res (original 36x, top row, is too high-res)

Is it readable though? A lot was lost.  The hastati doesn't have his spear or shield yet, which may add more to it.

If you want it to be 6 frames that frame 1 and 4, frame 2 and 5, frame 3 and 6 have to be the same but opposite, every step being 3 frames.

Here is something I made quite a while ago, the run is not the best, could be tweaked, but the principle in this is sound and can be applied to any number of frames.
