Hello Pixelation,

After seeing an awesome C64 Metroid mockup by vierbit (http://wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/upload/resguide/c64_vierbitmetroid.png) I was inspired to pixel something in the C64 palette with wide pixels. I've never really done much pixelling before, so this probably wasn't the best idea.

Ptoing warned me that I can't AA to cyan with the light grey, I'll get right on that.
What else can I do to improve? Any critiques welcomed!  :)

Haha, well you can, it just does not really work. The Cyan and Light Grey on the C64 palette have the same lightness so they are really to close to aa against each other properly.

UPDATE: I removed the grey-cyan AA and changed the front leg a bit.

To AA between cyan and light blue you can actually use green. Also a good colour to AA between yellow and light red is actually light grey, it is a bit more neutral than the cyan.

Have a look at this unless you have not seen it already.

I see you also used grey next to light blue to AA it to the light red, this also does not really work (same reason as the cyan and light grey, too close in value)

Even tho the light grey and cyan are so close I would use a light grey at the snout where you have the cyan, just to differentiate it a bit from the background.

the green into the red is a hard sell to me, just visually and for theory reasons.  the red goes into the blue so nicely, why AA at all?

Red/Green is generally not a good idea for AA because they are complimentary, so they "bite" each other somewhat. That is why the greys work so well, they are neutral.

Also you could use some of the green to AA the outer circle a bit more.

Okay, I tried to fix up the AA on the circle. I'm really happy with this. I think I'll leave it as it is and move on to my next project now. :)

The circle isn't quite round, but I'm going to overlook that.
