Title: [WIP] Pig Sprites
Post by: ludaruda on March 15, 2011, 01:53:42 am
I'm needing help on AAing this pig, it just doesn't have the smooth & clean feel I want it to have. Any tips or suggestions?

It looks very nice!

The first thing i noticed is the face on the one looking down, seems like he/she is watching up. Maybe you can move his nose and eyes some pixels down and make his cheeks disappear a bit from below.

Then i noticed that you can easily get rid off up to 7 colors. I will try an edit later when i get back home.

Good look! hope it helps  :)

There are a few places with 2 pixel with,  very minor places though but still there nonetheless.
If you color the outline other than black  (Like a dark pink/beige)
When you zoom in his eyes are blue and when the image is back at 100% it looks black.  (more contrast on eyes)
In the front view he has darkened area around his "butt" but in the back view it's much closer to the head.

Other than that It seems pretty good

Seems like you've only shaded the body of the top right piggy. You need to shade the other views. And personally I'd make him shiner, I like it when piggies are shiney  ;D

if this will eventually become a 4-direction walk cycle, then it might look odd when the pig switches directions, as the left and right directions are from the side and the up and down directions are from the top.
