You've got a very distinct style. Since these are just sketches and are very stylized (in addition to being not very humanoid) There's not much to crit.

Do i really have a style? It's hard for someone to tell if they have a style.

This is really a recent record for me, i haven't been able to pixel this much for awhile:

I don't really know about the hair, someone help me out.

Just a little sprite i just cooked up. I figure if i do a whole bunch of these sketches i'll get back into the swing of things in no time.

I'll probably just keep editing my last post in here, so check back to see what i've put on.

The easiest way to tell if you have a style is if someone says "You have a very distinct style".

Also, spiffy sketches. rock on =]

Wacky o_0? Great palette though. The green neck-thing-creature is pretty cool too. Like everybody else is saying, you've got style!

I thought it was rendered when I first saw it. Dood, you've even got the polygons on the horn and legs.
These all roxxorz.
I love yer pallette.

That's really weird, on my pc it's a png.

Yeah, I started trying to make renderish looking pixels before i started posting here, and now i'm just taking what i did then, and combinging it with my previous style.

I really dig how you did the horn on this last one. It has this translucent, crystally quality to it. Interestingly, the colours and contrast of the horn, almost give it this subtle glow.

I wasn't sure what to think of this vector style when I first saw it, but I'm liking it more and more with each piece. I think that there's still a problem overall with your contrast or maybe how you've chosen yours shadows/midtones/highlights that doesn't make most of these pop out just yet. I think it may be a balance issue, like something is missing. Maybe you've noticed this, too, which is why you've put a black outline around some of these. I don't think that a black outline is the proper way to fix the contrast, although I'm a little stuck on ideas to suggest. Maybe, this kind of style may not satisfy as a single element pasted on a flat background like other pixel stuff does. Then again, the solid black background here works beautifully giving it great contrast and pop.

I don't know what else to say, except keep going. The improvement from this( http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=580.msg6826#msg6826) is fantastic. It should be a lot of fun seeing where you take this style.

Thanks crab, that all means alot coming from you. I'm glad you liked the horn, it was sort of a fluke.

on the last one, is his arm thing suppose to be bent like that? the upperarm is at a different angle as the lower part, but the structure suggests that the lowerarm emit from the upper cavity in the same angle. it's confuseing..
The render look you're doing is nice, but its making everything look like plastic.

How would i go about making a new texture?

im not sure. You might want to try creating a pattern by hues with value for representing the shape. If all you do is alter the value and keep a consistant palette, it turns out like it is now. For example the green bumpy dude, it has some texture, but the texture itself looks plastic. You could for instance make certain spots like the knees, face and elbos and such have a red tint to suggest that he has some blood under his skin, maybe alter the color of his claws and whatever else is hard bodied to a more suitable color(maybe a more denser/darker color)..
You could change the way the light hits different things.. some things may be fuzzier, some may be shinier, some may refract light..

That rhino is pure sex. Make more like that.

I really don't see how that is a bad thing; I love it. Actually, its making me love your work much more on its own. Nice job.
