Post by: g-c. on November 30, 2010, 03:31:43 pm
Here's a Goomba from the Super Mario series.

Please tell me if something is wrong  :)

I'll shade it later, i prefer end the animation cycle first.

I like it :D, and you did the animation pretty well too.

My only complaint is to shade it. Looks awesome either way though.

I would suggest having it's head move a bit more.

To and fro from the viewer or something.

the fangs move more than the head itself ... that's a bit odd.
It might use some twist, too (possibly need to be sub-pixel for that)
The last point would be that the distant foot remains parallel to the ground during the cycle while the closer foot is angled during the lifting.

Otherwise, it's quite nice.

It could do with some left/right swing, keeping the eyes focussed ahead. Looks like an angled shuffle forwards than a complete walk cycle, as the closer foot never goes as far ahead as the further back one, and neither goes behind his main mass, needed to push him forward in walking. The feet not going as far forward as eachother would be right if he were angled so he was getting closer to the screen as he walked but the rest of the image is side on. Looking better with your last improvements too but my mentioned ideas could tidy it before you launch into the shading

The back foot looks a little small, I know it's further away but it doesn't seem like the distance would be that much. Also it seems like the closer foot changes a bit as it moves which looks cool but the back foot stays static as it moves. Overall it looks awesome though.
