I made tiles for a platformer game.
Was looking for critique or comments.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Really the only thing that bothers me is just the explicit noise that makes up the dirt below the green. Try adding more form by using shades of value to make it look more rounded, and less like color noise.

I would advise against doubling the size of the tiles for any reason, especially if you intend on keeping some objects at their regular size like the skull.
It might seem like a small thing but it instantly destroys the universe your pixels live in to me when you break a rule so fundamental to pixels.
Other than that, there isn't much to comment on, sorry if I'm coming off harsh- it's not intended.
There isn't much deliberate detail, the dirt/cliff texture is just 3 tone noise. I think you need to focus more on the textures and detail for these objects, I feel like you're just representing the very basics of video game graphics, which on a level is kind of interesting, but I don't think that's what you're going for.
Again, apologies if I'm being too blunt.

TakaM don't worry about it. it helps me.
i resized the tiles to normal size
the color palette on the side is in 24 bit
[edit] the weird little curvy things are for smoothin out corners

Okay that looks alot better. You didnt add form, which is okay since it looks like the style of art your going for is SM2-ish.

heres the walking sprite (the standing one is the first frame)
THE IMAGE SPEED OF THE WALK WILL BE CONSIDERABLY SLOWED DOWN

jumping

attacking
i feel that the sword in the second frame is awkward

i also don't have an animation program. suggestions?

Looks like the character is an edit from these characters...

I did my take on them. My character was going to be a battle sprite for an RPG. :-[

Hmm... The dress of the character is certainly interesting, and I like the way he looks. Though, what bugs me are his walking frames; I've never liked two frame walking animations, and considering that your sword animation is more then two, shouldn't the walking be the same? As for the jumping frame, the character looks more like he's casting a spell or cheering a team on other then someone jumping. Try to resprite the limbs to make them look like some one jumping.

Heres my take on it. It makes my eyes bleed cuz it sucks.
What else can i do?
