Title: Mockup, tiles
Post by: Bahototh on August 27, 2010, 03:04:18 pm
Some ideas for a tileset, along with a quick mockup.
Initial comments, please?

Maybe if it wasn't JPEG'd I could help you but in this case...
Let me say one thing:- never save as JPEG, JPG, Jee-Peg, or whatever. It ruins the colors, and, thus, the art you're making.

Wow that looks nice so far - Minus the jpeg artifacts.

I hope you have that saved before you jpeg'd it.

Well, i don't understand the random darker tiles on the foreground, what is the point?

The Brick tiles won't vertically tile, so you decided to fix that by adding a tile that is even more obvious when tiled?

The vines (or whatever they are) is only on the bottom, realistically would be sporadic and all over the place, not just the bottom.

And for added realism, something holding the "floating bricks" up would be nice.

And lastly the background looks horridly tiled and unrealistic. It could use some work.
