Title: Maiden Voyage of the Corona
Post by: Olothontor on June 29, 2010, 10:46:48 pm
A quick scene I did to celebrate the advent of summer, as well as my first viewing of one of the greatest anime short films I've ever seen. props to anyone who knows what it is!

Keep working on your space background and look at some references (there are bazillions of images you can find on the net for stars/space/nebulae). The main thing to remember though is not to place stars in an orderly fashion; they are seemingly randomly placed and appear to have varying degrees of brightness. So, there may be large areas with no visible stars at all; while there will be other areas with dense clusters of stars. Ah! Thank you. Half the time my downfall is a lack of reference.

So something more along these lines? Still pretty empty, but...

Sorry for the double post.

I need help on perspective, it's not turning out right at all.

.. But I can't figure out what precisely is the problem.

The front perspective isn't right because the ship is bended if you show it like this.

This is a shitty example, someone better should make a clearer edit, but I think this would be a better way of showing the perspective.
Also where the text is the image is cut off.

Ah! I see what you mean, though. Thanks, I greatly appreciate it. I know what to do now, I will post an update to the perspective as soon as I get around to it.

Thanks! :D
