Title: EDIT: 6 frame Walk Cycle - Need Help!
Post by: mozzy on June 28, 2010, 05:52:09 pm
So I need to create a 4 frame run cycle as well as a 4 frame walk cycle but I have no idea how to start. Any good references?

Heres the base for the character that I need to animate.

There is a dedicated topic to find resources: Tools, Resources and Linkage.  (http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=3467.msg43823#msg43823)
This walk animation tut (http://www.manningkrull.com/pixel_art/tutorials/walking.asp) will help you.

But I can't get over that site's design long enough to benefit from anything in it!! Luckily it's copyrighted so nobody can use it's graphics again.

I had not seen the "Tools Resources Etc." thread, extremely useful!  Thank you.

Yea I'm not sure that site helped so much, but heres my shot at it. Arms are clearly off, I'm more worried about the feet at the moment.

Crits pls

EDIT: OH, I had to change it to 6 frames because 4 was a little to limiting.

it looks to me that the green feet is moving quite high when bend and not very far forward when "landing".

imo, it's okay for the legs. I'd give him some shoulder movement, though.
