HELLO!
I'm Berserk X #33 and I'm a lover of the retro style games art (I'm lying, I'm only to lazy to do anything harder ) and this is my entry to this forum!
I'm starting posting my Joy Mech Fight Style Samus Aran from Metroid. This is an art inspired by my first experience playing such game, so take a taste, after I will be posting some older works, but now this is the first, see ya!

I don't understand the other works part.
Especially the SFA3 Style Umihara Kawase. It looks like a sprite ripped from a game. Are you saying you did all those or is there another reason for posting them?
-
The only one i've simply edited over a sprite was SFA3 umihara kawase, the others are mine from scratch, and i simply want critics. They are the ones cited into samus description
-
Howabout you just pick one which represents your best / most recent work and we'll help you with that.
Right now I wouldn't know where to begin, it's just too much to comment on.
-
Sorry for the mess so, let's stick whit Samus and i will simply put the others on hide

Is there a reason you are making the sprite in little pieces? Posting a complete sprite would help.
You outlined the detail in black. With a sprite that small there isn't enough room to outline the details. It also flattens the image.
The shading isn't too convincing. It just follows the outlines and flattens the image even more.
I recommend reading some tutorials, there are a few here in the general links section:

Well, the main reasons why this is like this because i was using the original standard of the game:

But i think you are right about the shading, it is a little flat, i think no shading would do better
Here, a new version without shading
