Title: zbrush users, I need a little advice
Post by: xhunterko on May 14, 2010, 05:37:11 am
I am wanting to get a little back into 3d again. Pawige made a comment about thinking of sprite as an actual 3d model. So instead of thinking, why not have an actual 3d model instead to look at?

So, since obviously, I am unable to purchase zbrush, I have a question of the 30 day trial.

How does it behave after the 30 day trial is over?
Does it lock itself out completely and ask for a registration over and over?
Or does it allow you to keep using it under fairly limited conditions?

A nice, similar in nature program that is in its Alpha phase and looking very promising is Sculptris (http://www.drpetter.se/project_sculpt.html) and it is free to use while it is in its development process.  If you get locked out of your Zbrush but still want to sculpt if you can't afford it, this is at least a temp. option.

The only thing I don't like about using alphas is doing something, it crashes, and then not remembering what I did to make it crash so I can report it.

I'll still check it out though.

I just followed the link and noticed the header.

I didn't no DrPetter built it. It should be pretty stable then. My bad.
