So, I wanted to try some animation out, and I used this for reference.

I want to turn this into a full detailed image, but something is off about it, but I'm not sure.
Can you guys help me out?

Like it says in the reference, you're supposed to flip the limbs for the other half of the cycle. You're just looping the first half.

Oh.
...
Well I feel stupid lol.
EDIT:

OK, I added the new animations as per reference :P. How is it now?

Still looks off in certain frames when the legs cross. I removed the problematic frames and it looks better, but a little too rough, still.

Looks like you'll have to come up with better intermediate frames when he hits the floor. It seems the originals are not good enough.

I think there's confusion about the movement here. When skipping, you raise one knee passively, and hop with the lowered foot - a complete motion - before thrusting the raised leg down into contact with the ground for a strong second jump/step. Here, your main force is the exact opposite - it's in the lifting of the leg, which should be relaxed.

It's getting better. Added two transitional frames.
Also, do you know of a free GIF maker? Mine is limited to 20 uses, unfortunately.

iaza.com is free
also, skipping is hard.

not sure how much you can learn from this, but it's an attempt

www.gimp.org
Does gif animation + transparency.
Plus free. Can't get any better then that.
@ndchriste: Yours seems just a tad slow. I don't know if he's going for that and if he is, just ignore my comment.
But yeah, definitly a bit jerky there on the loop around. I thought skips were supposed to be a bit quicker, more lively. Oh well.
