Title: Mockup / tiles for a platformer...
Post by: pgil on June 12, 2009, 03:41:47 pm
So here are a couple of mockups for a game I've started and restarted a few times. Basically I'd just like some comments on the colors and readability. Anything out of place? Does the character blend in too much?

The character will be fine, if there's few enemies on the screen. If there's going to be high-action scenes, you might want to up the contrast on the main character, so it doesn't get lost in the fray.

As for the tiles: work on getting those repetitions out. Most of the tiles tile very obviously, some extra work is needed there.

The whole thing reminds of Shadow of the Colussus a lot. Intended? If not, great style reference for this kind of stuff.
