Having never pixeled before, I'm not really sure where to start off. I don't want to start off too big, fail miserably, and get disheartened. So I ask you more experienced pixel-artists, where should I start out? What sort of thing should I start pixeling to get a hang of it? Thanks for your time and help. :)

Tsugumo's tutorials are what deflowered many of us. He lays down a solid foundation and gives some good advice, and the sprites are simple enough to follow along with.

Sweet, thanks pkmays! I havn't had much time to look at it, but I'll be sure to check it out as soon as I can. :) Thanks again!
EDIT: I've read all of Tsugumo's tutorials, but I still don't know what I should start pixeling! I have a pretty bad case of pixel-block... Any suggestions of what a first-timer should attempt?

use the search button, theres about a million threads with the same topic.
do what tsugumo does. draw some pixel grass and practice eliminating the grid. work on some sprites. animate them. use your brain.

Download Grahphics Gale and learn the wonderfulness in working with a limited palette where you have complete control over every single color!
