.....And it's awesome! Perhaps the best $1,189 I've spent.
Toshiba HP tz1000x series convertible notebook. Brilliant machine compared to the mac book pro, a good 20% more cash for less functionality....
Just wanted to say it :P Also, this is the reason for my absence the last while ^^

welcome back ^-^.
I've actually never used a Toshiba. Only HP, Dell, and my current one which was 'home built'(works much better than any prebuilt PC i've ever used haha). Is Toshiba good then?

Just out of interest did you used to pixel on that Mac you mentioned? If so what were you using, Pixen? Is it any good for pixel art compared to Promotion on the PC?
Jason.

i don't really like pixen, personally i use photoshop. It may have a lot of tools that arent needed for pixel-art but so what, i just dont use them...

I've been using Pixen a little bit and the pallete annoys me. When you rearrange the colors for your pallete it screws up the image. Also, don't think it lets you pick a dark green say, then make a light green, and make several colors between those two on your pallete.

I`m not a lover of Pixen either but after just buying a Mac there seems to be little choice as far as pixel art is concerned which is a real shame :( Anyone know of any other alternatives? I obviously know of Photoshop but thats a little too pricey for me.

I am shocked and appalled. :o :P As it happens, I just got a new computer too... but it is not nearly as nice as that one, just a home-built one that is much higher in performance than my old one... and an LCD monitor, which shows dithering a lot differently, than a traditional monitor. By the way.. if you don't need that messy mac, why not ship it over this-a-way?

I never actually purchased a mac, i just think they suck for the dollars you spend and everyone around me insists on buying them >.<
