Wow. I love the mood in this piece. I really like her bodyshape and pose, and that hair looks so damn cool. All floofy and soft. The night sky is also wonderful and everything just goes so well together. A very impressive piece. I can't really give any crits because it all looks great to me! :y:
Edit: forgot to mention that it was really nice to see the progress of it all.

wow, that back leg changed a damn lot! looks great though man, nice job!

Love it, tis art.
I do like it better flipped (facing right)

Nice one, though I could really see more color to this piece. The purple green is a nice combination but doesn't really speak to my senses. The purple suggests a warmth that the cold-ish green doesn't supplement. Something yellow/orange-ish might be better (to my humble taste, that is). But perhaps that would be the sun-counterpart of this piece.
Also I like the brighter moon. It gives the piece an extra focal point, which again, in my eyes looks better. The woman isn't complete without her moon, shall I say.
[/subjective critique]
*Insert praise and love that you actually should be getting from me for this piece.*

Thanks for the replies.
Lick: I can not have other colours than this. It has 12 out of 16 possible colours. I choose to omit greys in this one as they would dull it down a bit and I did not want that and the other colour which I did not use was dark red. It's C64 you know.
There are links to the other compo entries, but just judging them after the screenshots = meh, as some look quite a lot different on a c64 monitor or tv.

Wow, there is like 1 or 2 before yours that are somewhat better. Alot of thsoe are TRACED from photos, or don't comply with restrictions of c64, pretty sure first one doesn't.
Anyway, great job creating original art with proper restrictions, pretty sure you got gipped =(

The c64 scene, as most demoscenes, thrives on copies, yes. The first one isn't a copy, and it's in an interlace mode. I can't explain what it is exactly (just think two multicolor pictures offseted by one pixel flickering like mad every second), but do you think art that goes to a c64 demoscene gfx compo, that will be shown ONLY on c64s, wouldn't work on a real c64? Suffice to say, yes, all of them are proper c64 pieces.

I really like the flow and the colors of it.
You already fixed what I told you, so no crits (though I still prefer the face with the highlight on the other cheek and no AA on the eyebrow).
Sucks that it didnt place higher, but keep it up. :D

her arms appear quite short, mostly the upper arm and left arm
