Hello :)
First some introduction from myself: I am a game developer and digital artist (oh well not really professional yet.) I started doing pixel art occasionally about 1 year ago and have a background in 3D Art.
Lately I experimented a bit more with the pixels, mainly anti aliasing, shading and color choice.

12 colors
Not really sure how to do the sky and what kind of rock structure to add to the void part.
-
Try reducing that to 8 colors. Or something close. Maybe even less.
-
Why and how?
A few of the colors were added for anti aliasing. The extra smoothness is wished. I could remove them but then the image wouldn't look as smooth anymore.
-
the highlights are a bit high for rocks in my opinion
-
Ah yeah, Those were a bit experimental.
Here's a version with some more normal highlights.

perhaps adding a moon to the sky would be nice, or the silhouette of a dead tree. really cool stuff
