hello there :)
i absolutely love bejeweled games of all sorts, dunno why but i can play that for hours... lol
anyway a while ago i decided to pixel one myself with some candy (couldnt really think of something better after my jewels were much fail haha)
but then i got stuck somewhere, i dont feel its finished at all and still missing something and probably still needs a bit more detailing but im just not sure where anymore, been staring at it for 2 days now figuring that out, doing some minor tweaks here and there
here it is btw

(the clock item is suppsed to refill the timerbar to the left if you destroy it along with 3 other candies, the bomb destroys all candies around it if its destroyed along with 3 other candies)
im grateful for any suggestions and critique :)

everything is a bit shiny. i kind of like the shiny candy feel though. if ur looking for something different i would try dithering some of the obvious gradients such as the candy corn piece and another line of alternating dots to finish the dither on the "STAGE: 01" and "EXIT o" text boxes at the top.
like i said i kind of like the shiny feel and im not exactly sure what look you are shooting for. hope that helps.

thanks toshiomagic, i thought the dithering wouldnt work since i was aiming for it to be really shiney but i tried it anyway and it worked better than i expected and i dont think it lost a lot of the shiney feeling either

added some kind of gumball but im afraid its not very... readable :/

the pallete seams all very close you know? and the tokens could use more diferenciation. in just helps the player if you do.
maybe have a bit more candy? like 7 or 8 in total
but its a nice start though! keep at it

very well ;D

thanks darvyy :)
Kazuya Mochu i know what you mean with the same colors, tried to change the colors of the bomb and the clock, think i might go with the pink clock after all but for the bombs i dont really know, i like they grey one but its a bit too boring for the rest ~.~

id love to have more candy but i just cant really think of any anymore that dont look too much like the ones i already got, so if anyone got a suggestion for that id be happy to hear it :)
also worked a bit on the animations for the candy when you destroy them, no idea if thats any good to be honest since i hardly ever animate anything lol

Hershey Kiss
Gumdrop
Candy Bar
Lollipop
Taffy
Peep
M&M's
Cadbury Egg
Maybe you can use a few of these, of you want more types of candy.

Now that you've got some extra candy from NaCl ;D I think you should consider removing two of the following: liquorice, circular candy thing, gumball.
In a game like Bejeweled Becandied, readability is very important. Especially since there is a timed mode. If you have three types of candy all with similar shapes, it makes working out which candy to click much harder, especially under pressure. Essentially you are removing the shape outline visual cue and making the player rely only on colour and pattern when it comes to those three types of candy.
Take a look at actual Bejeweled pieces (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/bejeweled-deluxe/screenshots) and you'll notice that each piece has it's own distinct shape and colour. This makes working out which piece to click immediately clear.
