Hey everybody =P (my first post here heheh =)
I'm currently drawing sprites and tiles for a game I intend to make entitled "Retro."
Heres a mockup of what I have so far...

Looks good. There might be a chance of getting the foreground and background mixed up. While the sky and mountains are light enough to distinguish from the foreground, the trees are dark enough to be considered foreground. It's really not an issue in this piece, but I think the trees could use the *teensiest* amount tweaking to make them a little lighter and less saturated.
Actually, if the background scrolls at a different speed than the foreground, I doubt it would be a problem.
The AA in the background seems unnecessary. For example, the buffer between the red and yellow really doesn't enhance the background at all. I'd say just go with the thick outlines like on the mountains, or no outlines at all. A lot less work, looks pretty much the same, at it's faster to boot.
