This is a climbing animation I made(it is supposed to be the character climbing along something similar to monkey bars). However, after looking at a few references, and giving a few different animations a try, they all seem off to me(specifically in the rotation of the body). Which one looks better and how should I go about doing the rotation?

Looking more at the body, I tried rotating more and got this:

Oh, now I see the motion you're going for! Try moving his body down and back up as he swings his arms, try to think in terms of arcs rather than straight back and forth movements! The turning is good, but a bit of body tilting might give it more oomph.

Thanks for the critique. I tried to change the arm movement into an arc, and got these iterations:

You misunderstood what I meant a bit, I think! I meant give the body an arc and a tilt, this is a poorly-timed and error filled mess but it should give you an idea of what I meant!
Try having him swing a bit less extreme than I had him do here, unless you also plan to extend the arms more than you had them. I tend towards more extreme motions but that's not always the best way to go!

Ah, I see:

This one was with the current arm movement
Here I made the arm movement a little smoother:

and then applied the body arc:

While I do like the new arm movement, I feel the added frames may have destabilized the body arc.
EDIT:
Tried to smooth it out:

Looking good, but remember that they're supposed to be swinging from the arms! Again, my version wasn't too thought-out and it shows pretty hard. Think about the arms holding the bars as a pivot!
You can see an example of what I mean in this video: https://youtu.be/uOPDJOjH1nE?t=16s

I apologize, but when I said monkey bars, there were not actual bars, it was just the best example I could come up with. To clear it up, this is what the character will be climbing on:

I think that since their are no bars, the previous piece of advice does not hold? Correct me if I am wrong.

It should still hold I think, but the pipe would overlap the back-hand for this kind of movement. You might want to try more of a shimmy if they're to be climbing on pipes! Same general principles but it's more of a side-to-side movement. Tomb Raider 2 has a decent animation of that to look at, if I remember right!

Ah, I see. Thank you for the advice.
