Hi,
I did this with a model, the skeleton is supposed to be a monster that's why he has long arms but this animation looks weird, no ?
I made one earlier which was better but I don't find the words to explain what i dislike here (i think it's decent though)

Can you tell me if there is something wrong or if i'm just looking for the small details (on a sketch -_-) ?
-
You'd need some incredibly observant and patient person to study that sketch and come up with any solid conclusions :D
One thing I saw was the head jumping from one side to the other, but I'm not sure if that's because it's a freaking crazy sketch that has been photographed and mashed together in an animation xD
And his arms are almost doing a chicken dance or something :D
I think they bend inwards in one frame which looks really strange..
-
lol yes about the arms
"chicken dance" so fun :P
after i posted that i thought there may be a problem with the shoulders too
i'm redrawing it
-
Also one thing is that the entire body swings to the left and right with the step. That makes it look kinda like a silly dance.
Toning down the swing and the head-bopple could do something good about that.
The arms are constantly reversing their joints in a way that doesn't make much sense - they pretty much just flicker slowly.
You have to figure out how you want the beast to walk, too. This would be easier if you first have a concept drawing of how the creature looks.
An example of how to maybe go about doing that?

Suggestions on the design itself are just examples and not meant as any kind of serious design. D:

here is the first walk i made which is good i guess
(http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/02/1358096424-untitled.gif)
and i based the animation on this model (and reduced this to 6 frames instead of 8)
i started drawing this (it normally has wings and a tail but i removed them) but i'm going to change some details later, i needed a model, really, otherwise it was a pain
and i like your drawing, dunno if you made it to show me but in this case, really thank you
I'm redrawing it right now i'll show the edit after that

here it is :

So it looks better, and i guess it's enough, what do you think ?
-
The arm movement is a lot better, at least.
Since your character is more like a robot(?), the stiff body makes now more sense as well. c:
I think you'll need to start putting down the major shapes next? I don't really know what else to help you with..!
-
yes he is stiff cause he is huge and more like an insect, but it works for a robot, the model anim is generic, it also applies to robots ^^
nothing else is needed lol :P
if it looks good to you (or just decent) it's enough i guess
i'm gonna put the shapes as soon as i made all the (walking) animations, i'll then print the skeletons and work on those "copies"
and just for you, it'll look like this (the back view is not finished xD)

Alright, good luck to you then!

I've fixed all the image links.
When linking out to a host like this you cannot link directly to the viewer that they use.
Do this instead:
1. Right click the image
2. Open in New Tab
3. Image should appear by itself in a blank window
4. Copy the address given
5. Paste between img tags
Also the 3D animation only had 2 loops and each frame had a delay of 0.
When you export a gif:
1. Set all frames to have a delay higher than 0. in some cases a delay of 1 at 1/100 sec will also bug out.
2. Set the loop value to 0. This will make it loop forever.

ok thank you for the info
