Title: [WIP] Street scene with dude smoking..

Hello everybody.

I've been working on this in my spare time the last week. Don't really have a plan for it other than experimenting with 4-color pixelling and readability. It would be great to get some general feedback on it before I go on. Especially the dithering and "noise" texture. Not sure if I like those bits but I need some kind of transition from light to dark. Ideas?

That is an incredible edit!! So much to learn from this! I'll be back with a new version after I wrap my head around all the things you did.

that is some example!
I'm impressed by the smoking animation for sure; but the edit, which is just an example from Ramenshop, is insane.

@ smoking animation:
just one drawback: the smoker would not be able to expell smoke that far. At half the distance, its "natural" move up will be the major movement and the move forward will have almost come to a stop. (it's decelerating horizontally and accelerating vertically).

Yes..

A little wip update. It's hard for me to avoid leaning heavily on the edit in places, but I feel I've managed to internalize quite a bit.

It's still amazing to look at, I'm compelled to commend RAMENSHOP's on his utterly awesome edit :y:

and that's quite a considerable improvement ErekT

Really big fan of this edit!  :crazy:

Original is coming along nicely too I really like the silhouettes in the windows :-)

Thanks :) Yeh, RAMENSHOP's version is super. I've learned a lot from it, especially those glow effects.

Must say I find that quite an interesting color scheme.  Sets a nice tone.
