okay... I think I may have taken care of some of the more basic issues...
I always seem to have a problem with lighting for somereason and I'm not quite sure if its fixed.

lighting is still wrong..

still center on one eye but the shine on the eyes its left and on the face its right

draw an arrow on the way you want the light to come from (it seems noobish but i still do it)

am I getting any closer with this one?
I'm up to 32 colors after messing with the spots... maybe not such a good Idea...

update: After looking over this sprite... I decided, I need to focus on what pixeling is all about...

1) most sprites have a standard image size... this one does not.
2) most sprites stick to a standard pallet... this one clearly has gotton out of hand (less colors could achieve the same effect
3) there are some obvious design issues that should have been taken care of before I started finishing this one.

All in all, I feel like I'm polishing a turd and the best thing to do is to learn from this one, and perhaps try again with what I have learned about lighting shading and the things I mentioned above... hmm did I just crituque myself?
