I'm creating a pixeled set of characters relating to a web comic (http://www.the-broken-mirror.net/) I draw, so I'd appreciate C&C muchly so I can nail down the techique and look with these characters before I move on to the other characters.

Here is Xara and Galen... and Galen without glasses, as they are damnably tricky to do.
I'll post the other characters also on this thread as I proceed.

hmm...galen's lips are too shiny....he loks like a girl...no offense ofcoarse. other than that, very good! :D

I think they look great. A simple and great looking style, the hair looks incredibly well suited.

Nice style, but curiously... on shoulder, neck, hair, nose and forehead you added some volume, but on cheek-bones, cheeks and other a not? why? For maintenance style maybe must added shading in other piece, like this:

It's not destroy you style, just do him more full, in my opinion.

miscdude: Ok, I'll remove Galen's lip gloss.
Skull: Thanks. :)
mangust: I wasn't quite sure what to do with cheek bones.. having a shine and some red at the same time, but it seems to work just fine in your edit. :) Also the antialiasing on her top is good. Thanks.
I'll post edits and new stuff tomorrow.

=) I adore that web comic.
I really like these, but something about this Xara looks different from the Xara in the comic. Is that because she's older in this version?

They seem to grow alot throughout the comic, so I think so yes.
I like the comic too, makes me a bit sad though...
