Working on a punch animation.

I'm not certain the leg movement is correct, and the impact seems to be a bit off. Any critique?

honestly there shouldn't be much leg movement at all! Most of the force of a good punch comes from LEANING INTO it, which requires stable footing and more movement in the torso since it hits harder when you put your weight into your fist.

Tried to get rid of most of the leg movement, but I'm not sure how the anticipation(added a bit more on the second windup frame) looks without it.

Try to have the body lean back, and keep that other foot planted. Put most of the motion in where the legs would be.
Here, have an example:

note how he provides most of the thrust for the punch from the legs!

Tried to push the body back and then lean forward while keeping the other foot stable. Also tried to add a little bit of the leg movement in wzl's post.

Looking good! I'd say play around with removing a frame or two for a zippier movement and you have yourself a punch!

After some iteration I landed on this:

Which loses a little bit of the smoothness, but I think it feels better.
