Title: I made an pixel icon and such for myself.
Post by: Yokai90 on June 03, 2016, 11:42:44 pm
So yesterday I made the discovery basically of how color works and such for pixels. ((Hopefully my art too..)) and I was so excited that I went and made a new icon for myself and animated it a bit.

Alot of my internet friends and such called me egg yok so I thought what better icon to use then an actual dripping yolk?
Although it wasn't perfect the first try- I made it to orange;; so I shifted the hue and made it more egg yolky and added a simple dripping animation.

Critiques are greatly appreciated especially for the sprite and the animation especially! since im not the best at it either ^^;

BIt rough, but I dropped a frame and reworked the drip so you can see it running down the side.
aaaaall about the windup and recoil

Edit: cleaned it up a bunch, added more windup and less recoil

I see! thank you for the advice!
May I also ask for more advice for animation? sorta make it bounce like that and such?

I use phototshop to mostly animate and sai to make the pixels and such-

I just traced back up the path of the drip. I actually animated it a bit backwards, but in general you want to try and study real life where you can to get a better feel for things.
Dripping's something I look at a lot when I'm washing dishes so you kinda get a feel for how "sticky" fluids can be, they kinda like to stick to surfaces until they start nearing the bottom before detaching!
