You know what this is...
I use paint, I know there isnt a difference but I would like to try a different tool...Anyone got a suggestion?

The grass is spray painted on B/C I SUCK at grass...and other stuff.
But I hope I can learn new techniques and tricks.
And I have this running loop... I have no animating tool...

As a rule of thumb, never use the spray tool (or techniques the produce the same effect) - it looks crappy and not really pixel art. For grass, I always try to avoid as much noise as possible.

If you want a noisier look, make sure you draw the blades as blades, not dots. :y:

At least the composition is good, but pixel art is all about the tiny details.

This is much better than the spray-on grass. :y:
For colors, I would suggest more hue shifting towards cooler colors (especially green), to give it that "enclosed forest" feeling I miss.
Also, less dithering/general noisy pixels would benefit this piece; try to avoid single pixels all together, and focus more on "clusterage" as Mathias calls it.
