There seems to be a few too many colors on this guy- I count 9 right now. I'd say 6 or 7 should be more than enough, especially with only green to worry about.

Is he supposed to have something inside of him? Otherwise, I don't see what that stripe could be. Just looks like he's got a stick stuck in his belly. :0

thanks I will remove some of the colors, No there isnt susposed to be a stick in him  :P
it looked to blank without the strip thingy, I knew it looked weird so I was hoping someone could tell me how to make it look
not so blank but not have a line through him.
Thanks  ;)

Have you seen Jad's avatar? That might give you some idea of where to take this.

Also, google images is your friend. Just look up slime or jello, and I'm sure you'll find some decent references.

Wow, now that is awesome!
Now I think you should work on the eyes and mouth. (if you want)

comments about the animation:
It looks like he's jerking himself forward real hard, then jerking backwards real hard. Use more frames, and make his lower body move less/more.

I think it needs to look more blobby when it moves. Maybe something like this?: (http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/Zanaril/blob.gif)

You can try to do something like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Gazner/anim_pillbugmove2.gif)
if you want it to be more solid than jello, and you could add some cool stuff like some "slime" sticking to the floor when its lifting up or something.

Also, your gif had frame overlap so i fixed that:(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Gazner/slimewalkredone.gif)

You could possibly up the contrast on the slime a little more, the back end seems kind of weird during the animation, and if you exaggerate the extremes of the movement a bit more I feel like it would look more impressive.  Right now it seems like its moving reaaaally slow.

ahhh oh no he's trapped!

It's good practice to have ample room for your animations so you don't get any awkward boxed-in effects.

zanaril's edit has a nice back and forth wiggle which is really what this needs. I really can't recommend enough looking at what he did more closely. If a jelly moves in one direction, his jelliness will want to stay behind. It's all physics! Also up and down motion. As the jelly moves he gets all thin :c but than bounces back up before he goes to do another slide forward. c:

2 or 3 pixels away from the border makes it look much better. ;D

By the way, you need to remove the outline. Outlines really don't need to be in pixel art, unless it's a cartoony type of style. ;)

you need to remove the outline.

What.

Outlines do not necessarily result in a very cartoonish style. Also what makes you think he is not aiming for the style he currently is using?
I think theres nothing wrong with this outline as it doesnt distract from the rest at all and we dont know what background this sprite is thought to be shown on.
