Post by: Kren on August 01, 2006, 01:44:08 am

i need to know what is wrong with it. and how i can improve it.

Honestly, I think the big killer here is the palette. The colours are oversaturated, way too bright, and murder on the eyes. Don't get me wrong, as they are nice colours in and of themselves, and there is a time and place for such vibrancy, but I can't imagine staring at this for any length of time without causing some serious eye strain.

The tiles themselves look quite alright; simplistic but effective... I like 'em okay, anyway.

The water could stand to have more contrast.  Yeah, the green hurts my eyes.

Is the water supposed to be still or moving?

The water look very like a pattern. maybe try to do some artwork, that evolves into left-right and top-down without everybody directly sees that underliying tile-size.
