Hi Pixelation ! It's my first post here, every comments and advice are welecome as I want to level up !
I gess I'll have a lot to learn, so every feedback is welcome !

Here the space ship. I wonder if I better go for tiny sprites as I'm slow and it takes forever when i'm dooing PA.

I tried to have some nice reactor trail, using only one color to keep it simple.
A friend told me the ship looked a bit like a cosmonaut with wings. So i also made this for fun :

Wow, both the small and the big sprite looks great. And the burn animation looks powerful. Nothing to criticize, good job!

sorry, i have no time for something more in depth but i think the big astronaut's sprite needs some more work on light and shadows and also on the placement of his elbow (try to place it one pixel lower).

Hi everyone, and thank you for feedback !
I tried to have a quick re-work with the cosmonaut's arms... The elbows maybe looks a bit weird as the body is not really symetric : the right side has one more pixel than his head, let's call this a perspective ;p I mainly tried to fix the shadow on the left arm and removed pixels on top of the shoulders wheen when his hands arenear his head...

If you are looking to make changes you could try:
- Big One: Move the elbow down one pixel. Also, could try moving upper arms (between elbow and shoulder) slightly during the animation. If you practice your distress flagging sitting at your desk you will probably notice your whole arm moving.
- Little One: It looks like one hand (or whatever the brightest pixel is) moves more on one side than the other. Also, not sure if the motion makes sense, reminds me of doing the YMCA dance, but I think it does generally communicate what you are intending and looks quite cute—the motion also makes him look very panicked and distressed
I only came up with those when enlarging and staring at for a while, so not sure they really need to be changed and I think they look great overall!

I'll try to dig this elbow position issue but it's so tiny it's a hard compromise :p
About the guy's moves i think i wanted him to say "Hi", or something like "i'm here and in trouble" depending on the context. Also i was somehow inspired by "Stan" in Monkey Island (the guy selling broken ships and coffins) for the tiny version : that's why he looks so hectic :D
