Title: Help with walking Animation
Post by: Mistajaye on July 17, 2009, 01:27:25 am
I know this is very weak, and probably not even a good start, anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Mistajaye!

Ok, some hints... I think a live preview is the most important thing for animating something. So, here's a preview. I have reordered your animation frames to 56x65 pixels. The 1st frame looked like the standing-frame, so I have used frames #2 .. #7:

With this preview, you can see a couple of problems: His leg is growing and his arm movement is a bit stiff. But the robe at his legs seems to be fine to me. I would try to improve his leg movements first.

Also, I think it is easier to animate when you simplify the essential parts of the figure first, like this: (and finalize pixels in a 2nd step, when you have managed to build a fluid animation)

Hope that helped a bit!  ;D
