Title: Pixelart Revisited
Post by: Badassbill on January 15, 2008, 11:44:23 am
For the PJ Pixelart Revisited challenge. I've done some basic shading, and before I go further I'd like some c+c on the anatomy, so that mistakes don't snow ball on me and become bigger problems later on.

anatomy:  arms should come halfway down the legs.  Biceps aren't spheres, and shoulders are a bit less round.  Abs are too small / so is the whole lower torso.

good stuff, i like the original so hopefully this will be better.

Taken on your advice and it looks better, thanks Feron.

Any more crits before I go on?

Worked into the piece and added some rough extensions to the body.

Lighting source could be more consistent. Especially his pecs. His hands are tiny and hard to read. It looks like he has tiny tree limb claws. The top of his head is too dark. Contrast is real high but I think it's because you have a black background which seeing the original you intend to keep, looks fine.

Try to first draww the body, before adding all this blue sparky stuff, make it placed logical and natural, based on whats inside it;
