My last thread went unnoticed, sadly, though I think it was just too small and unfinished to comment or critique. I got busy and never finished it, but I whipped something up in about 20-30 minutes. Started out as a random doodle and I decided to try and dither it. C+C welcome.

Added the shoulders and started the arms:

The dithering looks a little shaky on the left (his right) shoulder, I'm not sure how to fix it.
--UPDATE 2.5--
Started the sword, finished the right shoulder pad, started the body armor.

Added the elbow pads, finished the basic outline of the body armor, started the "legs."

looks like quite a fun character there.
I'm not sure if i like the chunky black outlines, whilst yes they do add a lot of definition and you will never have readability issues however i just think they're too much.
the palette is ok, contrast is always good, some areas are looking a bit flat though. The horn on the viewers right seems to go against the lightsource.
hope to see it finished.
