Title: [C + C] A collection of fantasy game objects
Post by: rainbowegg on August 12, 2014, 03:11:00 am
Hi guys! I've been lurking for a while and thought I'd post to get some feedback. This is a collection of items I've made for a game my indie studio is working on. I'm working with 16x16 sprites because I felt like it would be good to limit myself a bit until I get more confidence in my work. And because I generally like a bigger pixel size.

Thanks in advance for any advice/feedback you can give me!

The colors are a little bland would be my first impression. A brown sword?, maybe it's supposed to be wood?

With stuff at that size I'd recommend making the colors a lot stronger and distinct so the objects can be easily identified.

Thanks for your comment! It is supposed to be wood, but I definitely see what you're saying. My browns in particular are not super interesting.
They're supposed to be viewed at a bigger pixel size, however. Should I repost it bigger?

Clicking on picture on this site makes them larger, no need to repost them at a larger resolution. Try it for yourself!
