Post by: notoalpena on July 15, 2009, 04:54:52 am
I need help with this, I think I might of over done the aa but I'm not totally sure.

Here's what I have so far (I haven't attempted to fully aa the sword and I know I'm missing the details on the map):

I like where this is going, although Link seems to be a bit chubby.

Also, his left foot looks...off...like he's standing on his toes or something.

I noticed he was a bit chubby too, so I did a quick comparison with your reference. You have Link's shoulder even with his ear, but it should be more inward. In other words, he's too wide.

Also, the feet on yours look a bit odd because of the angle they're placed at. Hope this helps!

Alrght I took a stab at making him thinner, moved the shoulder a bit and tried to straighten out the feet.  :D

Also added the map detail and made the beak longer on the hat.

His head needs to be a lot bigger, it gives the cartoony look even if it isn't proportionally accurate, it will match the ref more.

I have to agree, I think it's the size of his head(being so small) that is throwing off the look of the body in many ways.
